Albanian Military Receives 29 Humvees Donated by the US - 2021-03-01

The Albanian Armed Forces received 29 high-mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicles on Friday, a donation of the US military.

“Twenty nine High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (Humvee) arrived into the Port of Durres today. These vehicles are a donation to the Albanian Armed Forces from the US military and will help increase both Albanian military readiness and NATO interoperability,” the US Embassy in Tirana tweeted on Friday.

A number of vehicles are military ambulances.

Albania became a NATO member in 2009.
